Chandra Levy court case closed as Ingmar Guandique found guilty

The Levy homicide court case appears to be closed. The defendant, Ingmar Guandique, has been determined responsible. The jury deliberated for four days, and returned a responsible judgment for Guandique, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador. Guandique is believed by some to have been fingered as a fall guy, as there are some inconsistencies with the proof.

Convicting Ingmar Guandique for murdering Levy

The Chandra Levy homicide court case went unsolved for year, reports MSNBC. Now, Ingmar Guandique was found guilty on trial. Levy was an intern in WA, D.C., and was allegedly having an affair with then-Congressman Gary Condit. Ingmar Guandique is already serving a 10-year sentence for attacks on two women in Rock Creek Park in WA, D.C., from 2001. It was 2001, a year after Levy was reported missing, that her remains were found in Rock Creek Park. Since Guandique had admited to his cell mate that he claimed her, and nothing else, the testimony from the cellmate led to him being tried. Many debate about the murder trial. This is because many think Guandique is being blamed for something he did not do.

Proof pieces

The defense for Guandique, an illegal immigrant, argued that Gary Condit has always acted suspiciously concerning the court case and had taken the Fifth Amendment at trial. A witness can take the Fifth Amendment to avoid incriminating himself, which Condit did. The defense also pointed out some significant concerns regarding physical evidence, based on the Washington Post. There is little physical proof that Guandique ever came in contact with Levy. No homicide weapon was recovered, and the DNA found on Levy’s running tights belonged to neither Guandique or Condit. According to the prosecution, it is very possible that the DNA accidently was mixed with DNA from others because it was handled improperly. No tests were done to confirm this though.

Terrible much talked about case conclusion

It seems very possible that Guandique might be responsible within the Levy court case considering his prior crimes although you will find inconsistencies in evidence. Hopefully justice has been done for Levy.
