Yet another million cars in yet another Toyota Motors recall

A new round of Toyota recalls announcements, for three separate issues. A month without a Toyota recall can be a victory for the company at this point. This time, it is only just over 1.5 million vehicles impacted by the recall. Just over 1.3 million automobiles are within the first recall, because of possible issues with either the brake cylinder or fuel pump. The second is just a little smaller. Just over 130,000 automobiles may have brake drums that can rust.

A Toyota recall once again

Toyota has announced another recall. In the whole world, about 1.53 million automobiles will be recalled. There’s a defect in the brakes. This is just suspected though. Being recalled are the Lexus GS300, IS 250 and IS350. Also being recalled, reports ABC, is the Toyota Highlander and Avalon. The master brake cylinder seal can be defective. Brake fluid leaking would take place if the master cylinder seal cracked. Brake pressure might go down when a warning light could appear. Within the U.S., there are numerous vehicles being recalled within the brake cylinder recall. About 740,000 automobiles will be recalled. No accidents are reported as a result of the possible leak.

Other recalls from Toyota

In China, Toyota has recalled another 130,000 cars. This happened because of a defect that might cause rust in the rear wheel disk brakes. Besides the recall of the 740,000 cars in the United States, Toyota Motors is also recalling practically 600,000 automobiles in Japan over possible defects in the fuel pump. The vehicle might stall since there’s a possible electric fault in the fuel pump. The brand new York Times reports that the defect is only in Japan. The Crown model, which the United States of America doesn’t sell, is where most of the fuel pump issues are coming from

What can I do now?

Owners can be getting notified via Toyota. The model years 2004 to 2005 are the ones in the recall. Toyota has not had a good year so far. The vehicle maker continues to be raked over the coals for recalls, though recalls by automobile makers are often preventative.
