Bloom Energy offers ten-year contract for inexpensive energy off the grid

Bloom Energy is a California company that has developed a fuel cell called the Bloom Box. The Bloom Box is a self-contained source of power. So far its on-site application has been cost prohibitive for the mainstream. To solve that issue Bloom Energy has created the Bloom Electrons system to eliminate the Bloom Box’s upfront costs. This could help several people get Bloom Box without needing a payday advance to sign up.

The Bloom Electrons System details

The clean energy sector was happy to welcome in Bloom Energy. The Bloom Box seemed perfect. There is hardly any kind of carbon footprint that comes from the Bloom Box that is an "energy server" that has a chemical reaction making electricity. Each Bloom Box costs more than $700,000. To date, only large companies for instance Google, eBay, FedEx and B of A are Bloom Energy customers. More people might want Bloom Boxes with the Bloom Electrons being created. In order to do this, Bloom Energy has partnered with Credit Suisse and Silicon Valley Bank. Bloom Electrons is a financing company that offers 10-year contracts for electricity from on site Bloom Boxes at a fixed rate.

Powering Bloom Electrons with clean energy

Bloom Electrons allows corporations to go off the power grid using Bloom Box energy with no upfront costs. It’s expected that a Bloom Box bought upfront could be something businesses start to benefit from within three to six years of having it. The money is all made up by then. With Bloom Electrons, Bloom Energy said businesses can start saving up to 20 percent immediately on what they’re paying in CA. CA is the only place Bloom Electrons is accessible in. Electricity currently costs about 10 cents per kilowatt-hour. This is average in the U.S. Power could be produced at 14 cents per kilowatt-hour by Bloom Boxes. Bloom Electrons energy comes down to about 7 cents per kilowatt-hour with the CA subsidies and federal clean power incentives.

Seeing Bloom Box all over

The need of subsidies is something Bloom Energy is trying to get rid of. The company states it will be another three to five years before the Bloom Box could be offered this way. The Bloom box production could have to go up first so that the Bloom electrons system demand could be met. If you look back 2 years, Bloom Energy wasn't very fast. About one Bloom Box a month was made. Currently it can ship one a day. Production price is something Bloom Energy hopes to be able to reduce while increasing production of it. That way, the creating world can be able to have access to it eventually.
