I recently started a running program

I have been trying to eat less in order to get back in shape. Well, with this program I can't eat after 8pm and it's driving me insane! I am so hungry every night. I'm pretty sure it's mostly mental, like when you tell yourself you can't have something and you want it more, it's like I'm telling my body no food after 8pm and right at 8pm my body starts the cravings. I was never hungry after 8pm before I started this but the day I told myself that I couldn't have anything after a certain time now I want food, and I want it bad.
